The domain of Cheval Blanc is situated at the limit
of Pomerol in the Graves of Saint-Emilion.
Its particularity is a whole of grounds whose nature
is changing on each step. Here, they are strong
grounds on clayey bottom; there, they are light
grounds on clayey bottom or gravely earth on alios
bottom.
Thanks to this diversity of grounds, a judicious
choice of type of vines (Cabernet Franc 60%, Merlot
40%), a vigilant care carried to the vine and the
wine-making, the wines of Cheval-Blanc have mellow,
body, nicety and particular aroma.
